Melbourne, VIC: Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show
Volunteering is a great way to support Beyond Blue, connect with others and feel a sense of pride and purpose.
Our Beyond Blue charity space will be buzzing across the five event days of the show. Volunteers will be engaging with kids and families taking part in our many activities, handing out our information resources, chatting with attendees and helping with fundraising activities.
Shifts are available on each event day between Wednesday 26 March to Sunday 30 March (including two exclusive evening sessions on Thursday 27 March and Saturday 29 March for the Gardens by Twilight) as well as a shift before the show starts on Tuesday 25 March.
We are excited to offer a range of volunteer roles at the show, including:
Showbag Packing
We have limited volunteer roles available before the show starts to help us to pack showbags for the kids and families that will come through the beyond blue activation space. We will be packing the showbags with Beyond Blue information and resources, and activity sheets so kids can take home their Beyond Blue goodies after they've engaged with us.
General Event Day Volunteering
You can join us at up Beyond Blue activation space across five days of the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show. You'll be engaging with kids and families, taking part in our many activities, handing out information and resources, chatting with the community and helping with fundraising activities.
Event Day Photographers
We have limited roles available for volunteer photographers to join us at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show across the five day. We are looking for a volunteer with photography skills to come along and take some photos of the Beyond Blue activation and our volunteers engaging with the community. The photographer will then provide us with the digital files after the event.
Wayfinding and Ticket Sales with the MIF&GS Team
If you love the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIF&GS), we also have roles available volunteering directly with the show. There are roles available in wayfinding, information, booths and ticket sales. If you prefer taking on one of these volunteer roles, we can also put you in touch with the volunteering team at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden.
You’ll receive a full briefing before the event and on the day to ensure you feel prepared and confident to represent Beyond Blue.
Once your shift is over during the event days, you are welcome to stay and enjoy all the many gardens, displays and activities throughout the show. You will be eligible for up to $30 in reimbursements to cover the costs of transport, food & drinks.
